Industrial I&C Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, construct, install, and maintain industrial instrumentation and digital control systems & related infrastructure according to specifications.
  • Safely use hand and power tools, metering equipment, and precision instruments.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects within defined timelines.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Instrumentation & Controls Technician in an industrial environment with a focus on the assembly, construction, installation, and maintenance/ troubleshooting of heavy industrial instrumentation and controls equipment.
  • Strong electrical aptitude, understanding of power systems and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel to various project sites within the U.S.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ Experience in Industrial Instrumentation and Controls construction and/ or maintenance within a Heavy Process Industrial/ O&G/ Petrochemical environment.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific electrical code, regulations, and/ or standards.

Project Details

  • Project: Large LNG Processing & Terminal Facility- New Construction
  • Location: Port Arthur, TX
  • Duraton: 12+ months (could extend)
  • Schedule: 4-10’s (Mon-Thurs) + 8hr (Fri)- May increase up to 6-10’s
  • Pay-rate: Based Upon Experience & Certification/ License Level
  • Overtime: Yes, 1.5 on all O/T hours
  • Per Diem: Yes, $140/day x 7 days per week

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
  • Lift, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
  • Climb ladders, staircases, step stools, stand, walk, sit, and operate vehicles for extended periods.
  • Bend, stoop, crawl and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours.
  • The Employee May Occasionally Be Required To Work outdoors in varying weather conditions including intense heat/cold, muddy and wet environments.
  • Perform precision tasks with instruments and fittings.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing.
