Industrial Hygienist

About the Role

Apex is seeking to add an Industrial Hygienist to our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington. The role is field-intensive and supports a broad range of projects located in the Puget Sound Region. These projects reflect Apex's core practices in industrial hygiene/health and safety, environmental compliance, indoor air quality, and contaminated site assessments.

Responsibilities

• Hazardous building materials inspections and sampling
• Project code compliance monitoring and oversight for hazardous material abatement projects
• Indoor air quality evaluations
• Technical report preparation
• General project administrative duties

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Health & Safety or related field
• 0-3+ years of experience in Industrial hygiene, health and safety or a closely related field
• Able to function in a collaborative team environment, while also being able to operate independently
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Technical field aptitude, including critical thinking, planning, execution, and field documentation
• A valid driver's license and flexibility to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest

Preferred Qualifications

• AHERA Asbestos Inspector certification
• AHERA Project Designer

Pay & Schedule

• Compensation: $28-35 hourly, full time
• 75% in field / 25% in office
