Responsibilities
- Support Facilities leadership with team coordination, scheduling, and technical guidance related to HVAC/R operations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for HVAC/R systems, providing support and troubleshooting expertise across facility operations.
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting on HVAC/R and refrigeration systems, including air handlers, exhaust systems, refrigeration units, freezers, and controlled storage equipment.
- Utilize predictive maintenance tools, equipment monitoring data, and inspections to identify potential issues and improve system reliability.
- Manage spare parts inventory, identify equipment needs, and support procurement activities.
- Develop and update preventive maintenance procedures, checklists, and documentation.
- Lead facility projects, installations, and repairs while coordinating with internal teams and external contractors.
- Maintain facility utility systems, including gas, plumbing, compressed air, water systems, and related infrastructure.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts, audits, housekeeping standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical expertise, documentation, and project support as needed.
Requirements
- 10+ years of HVAC/R experience in commercial, industrial, or regulated environments.
- EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Certification required.
- Refrigeration license preferred/required.
- High School Diploma, military training, technical certification, or Associate’s Degree.
- Previous pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.
Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
- Experience working within SOP-driven environments with strong safety and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, control systems, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
- Experience with soldering, brazing, and mechanical repairs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and support projects.
