Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 480V / 277V / 208V 3-phase power systems.
- Work with switchgear, panelboards, and transformers in complex distribution networks.
- Diagnose and repair motor controls, contactors, overloads, relays, and VFDs.
- Execute lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Adhere to all motorsports facility safety requirements including NFPA 70E, arc-flash protection, and LO/TO standards.
- Conduct infrared inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate arc-flash labeling and compliance documentation.
- Troubleshoot PLC-based control systems.
- Support installation and commissioning of precision production equipment.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility systems including HVAC, chilled/process water, compressed air, and exhaust systems.
- Assist the Facilities Lead with all other assignments to ensure continuous reliability and performance of the manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active North Carolina Electrical License.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency with: 3-phase industrial power systems, PLC troubleshooting, VFD configuration and diagnostics, Electrical code compliance (NEC).
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, P&IDs, control diagrams, and one-line drawings.
- Experience supporting precision manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and arc-flash protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in high-performance manufacturing (motorsports, aerospace, defense, advanced composites).
- Knowledge of CNC machine electrical systems.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Proven success in fast-paced, low-downtime environments.
