What You'll Do
- Provide real-time support to factory systems such as MFS and MOS to ensure accurate process routing, cycle time tracking, and build data integrity
- Configure production lines and adjust workstation setups to improve ergonomics, ensure 5S compliance, and maximize operator efficiency
- Collaborate with engineers to design, build, and deploy assembly jigs and production aids, utilizing 3D printing, light fabrication, and basic shop tools for rapid prototyping
- Conduct time studies to support line balancing and collect floor-level data (OEE, downtime) to propose lean enhancements that reduce waste and improve First Pass Yield (FPY)
- Diagnose production throughput issues, validate standard work instructions, and facilitate root cause analysis to maintain process integrity and smooth operations
- Support engineering change implementations, including new product trials, line re-layouts, and hardware updates to ensure seamless transitions
- Provide hands-on assistance to Engineering, Operations, Quality, NPI, Maintenance, etc. teams during ramp activities and daily operations, adapting support based on immediate business needs
What You'll Bring
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing, assembly, or industrial engineering support role
- Proficiency in SQL for database querying and Power BI/Tableau for data visualization
- Familiarity with WMS, YMS, MES or similar manufacturing execution and systems
- Basic proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks or CATIA) to interpret drawings and support minor fixture/layout design tasks (preferred)
- Strong understanding of time study methodology (Stopwatch/MODAPTS), Lean Manufacturing principles, and process documentation (SOPs/SOS)
- Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail, sense of ownership, and communication skills
Physical Essential Demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
- Frequently and repetitively, stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
- Find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, arm protection, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
