Industrial Engineering Technician II

About the Role

This on-site role at our Prince George, VA facility supports the startup of a new factory manufacturing large form-factor equipment. The product is large (shipping container size), heavy (50+ tons), and complex. As part of the core factory startup and onboarding team, you’ll be responsible for building operations and manufacturing staff, fitting out the building, and creating process flows, work instructions, and more from the ground up. This position requires skills in panel and point-to-point wire assembly, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, and High Power Electronic assemblies. Shift A runs Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Work authorization is required, as this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing areas for line moves or process changes
• Update the Product-Process-Time database (IEDB) as directed by the Industrial Engineer
• Update/create production visuals as directed by the Industrial Engineer
• Order, receive, and validate tooling as directed by the Industrial Engineer
• Ensure standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with global, regional, and site direction
• Support the Lean organization by maintaining a solid process foundation and data integrity to enable process improvement
• Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Understanding and application of a broad range of industrial engineering tools (e.g., work measurement, process mapping, facilities and workstation design)
• Attention to detail when updating systems
• Basic analytical ability
• Basic communication skills
• Proficiency in personal computers, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD

Pay

The hourly pay range for this role is $23.89 - $43.03. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
