Key Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across assigned production lines, toolsets, or value streams
- Improve PM green-to-green time through standardization, lean methods, and optimized workflows
- Reduce unplanned downtime using structured problem solving and root cause analysis
- Lead scrap reduction, rework reduction, and yield improvement efforts
- Develop and implement standard work, visual controls, and operating procedures
- Manage key factory KPIs related to uptime, PM performance, yield, scrap, and execution
- Translate manufacturing data into clear problem statements, priorities, ownership, and action plans
- Drive cross-functional accountability across Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Automation/IT
- Support startup, ramp-up, and optimization of new production lines
- Partner with Automation/IT and Engineering to help define and implement the automation environment supporting KPI reporting, process visibility, and operational control
- Use manufacturing and automation system data to identify losses, validate root causes, and sustain improvements
- Train and coach engineers and site leaders in structured problem solving and data-driven decision making
- Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination as the function continues to mature
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, process engineering, continuous improvement, or operations excellence
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, standardization, waste elimination, and root cause problem solving
- Experience using KPIs and performance data to identify issues, prioritize work, and verify results
- Experience identifying and implementing automation-enabled solutions to improve process performance, visibility, control, or execution in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships, coach others, and support development of individuals and teams through collaborative leadership
- Strong cross-functional leadership, analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing
- Experience improving PM performance, maintenance workflows, or equipment uptime
- Experience leading scrap reduction, yield improvement, and operational standardization
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Familiarity with SAP, MES, CMMS, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar manufacturing and reporting systems
- Familiarity with automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, HMI interfaces, or related digital manufacturing technologies
- Experience supporting line startup, ramp-up, factory expansion, or operating model transitions
Position Impact
The Industrial Engineering Manager plays a critical role in improving factory performance and helping build the standardized, automation-enabled operating environment required for the facility to transition, ramp, and scale successfully.
Pay
The range for this position is $116,088.00 - $159,621.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
