About the role
The Industrial Engineering team at Pratt & Whitney functions as the drivers of Operational Excellence (OpX) at the site. They work to create the methods and standards for manufacturing processes and lead initiatives to improve operations, assembly, test, etc.
Responsibilities
- Macro level analysis of the product portfolio as it applies to SIOP, LRP and what-if studies.
- Consolidate and analyze value stream level data to drive site-level capacity initiatives to meet customer demand.
- Conduct machine capacity analysis to determine efficiency improvements needed to meet network standards.
- Evaluate the effects of product design changes on business capacity.
- Develop methods and/or models to increase productivity, maximize efficiency, and manage human capital more effectively.
- Recommend capital investment strategies to meet value stream product delivery, cost targets, and optimal asset location.
- Translate and communicate capacity, headcount, and capital into presentations for enterprise use in quarterly, yearly, and long-term planning.
- Support long-term planning for the Module Center and Business Units.
- Evaluate the effects of schedule and demand changes on the business to meet monthly production.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- US Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 6 years’ of prior relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Systems Engineering, or Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Management.
- Able to organize details into a macro view of the total organization.
- Able to present and communicate clearly to executive level audiences.
- Data mining & manipulation experience with advanced Excel (VBA, SQL, other methods a plus).
- Strong analytical, creative thinking, and project management skills.
- Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Able to work effectively with other engineers, technicians, operators, and management.
- Self-starter and able to work with minimal direction.

Pay and Benefits
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
