Our client is a nationally recognized third-party logistics and supply chain provider that partners with leading consumer brands to deliver warehousing, eCommerce fulfillment, transportation, and distribution solutions. The organization focuses on operational excellence, process innovation, and continuous improvement while supporting complex distribution networks across multiple facilities.
Responsibilities
- Analyze warehouse operations to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, productivity, and cost savings.
- Design and optimize facility layouts, material flow, and warehouse processes.
- Develop labor standards, perform time studies, and establish engineered labor metrics.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects that improve operational performance.
- Utilize data analytics to measure KPIs, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
- Create process documentation, standard operating procedures, and engineering reports.
- Develop business cases and ROI analyses for capital improvement initiatives.
- Support implementation of new equipment, automation, and operational technologies.
- Partner with Operations, IT, Finance, and other departments to execute engineering projects.
- Mentor junior engineering team members and provide technical guidance when needed.
- Travel to other distribution facilities to support engineering initiatives and best practice implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- 2-4 years of Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Distribution Engineering experience.
- Experience improving warehouse or manufacturing operations through Lean methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing labor standards and conducting time studies.
- Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 30%, with occasional travel up to 50% during major projects.
- Experience in warehouse/3PL/distribution is required.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Experience with process simulation software.
- Previous experience supporting third-party logistics (3PL) or distribution center operations.
- Spanish language skills.
- Experience implementing warehouse automation or material handling systems.

Pay
$95,000 - $120,000 per year
