Position Summary
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor and drive continuous improvements in quality, productivity, efficiency, and operational performance within assigned areas.
- Conduct time studies and labor analyses to validate process effectiveness and support workforce planning initiatives.
- Collect and analyze PPQT data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to established standards.
- Support facility layouts, workflow design, and customer-specific production area moves or expansions.
- Aid in developing operational data and labor estimates to support customer quotations and business proposals.
- Partner with Industrial Engineering Technicians to support training, development, and knowledge sharing.
- Promote standardization of processes and best practices in alignment with site, regional, and global organizational objectives.
- Drive manufacturing excellence through line balancing, workflow optimization, workstation design, material flow improvements, replenishment strategies, and changeover efficiency initiatives.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce waste, improve material presentation, minimize defects, and enhance overall operational performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Industrial Engineering methodologies and tools.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles and tools, including:
- Work measurement and labor analysis
- Process mapping and workflow optimization
- Facility and workstation design
- Capacity planning and resource utilization
- Continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze operational data to drive decision-making.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functional teams.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and operational performance metrics.
- Ability to support and adapt to organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD preferred.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
- 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
