About the role

An Industrial Engineer II at Briggs & Stratton will optimize manufacturing processes, recommend optimal station layouts, and drive sustainable solutions. They will also support safety initiatives and assist with new product launches.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously optimizes direct and indirect manufacturing labor and in-plant material flow using industrial engineering methods such as line balancing, time studies, and external material flow
  • Recommends and helps implement optimal station layouts to support operators
  • Assists in developing standard workflows for new and existing products, considering safety and efficiency
  • Sets up ergonomic solutions for operations and material handling
  • Develops recommendations for every part approaches to new product launches
  • Proposes improvements and modifications for sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters
  • Completes Bottleneck Analysis and Value Stream Mapping to promote strategy deployment
  • Supports other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of product launch management systems
  • Excellent team, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) guidelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to act with a sense of urgency
  • Fluent in English

Pay

The expected base annual salary range for this position is $95,000 - $130,000, commensurate with experience.
