Industrial Engineer II
About the role
An Industrial Engineer II at Briggs & Stratton will optimize manufacturing processes, recommend optimal station layouts, and drive sustainable solutions. They will also support safety initiatives and assist with new product launches.
Responsibilities
- Continuously optimizes direct and indirect manufacturing labor and in-plant material flow using industrial engineering methods such as line balancing, time studies, and external material flow
- Recommends and helps implement optimal station layouts to support operators
- Assists in developing standard workflows for new and existing products, considering safety and efficiency
- Sets up ergonomic solutions for operations and material handling
- Develops recommendations for every part approaches to new product launches
- Proposes improvements and modifications for sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters
- Completes Bottleneck Analysis and Value Stream Mapping to promote strategy deployment
- Supports other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of product launch management systems
- Excellent team, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) guidelines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to act with a sense of urgency
- Fluent in English
Pay
The expected base annual salary range for this position is $95,000 - $130,000, commensurate with experience.
