About the role

The Shipping Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the shipping department in East Moline, IL. This includes managing a team of shipping associates, ensuring timely and accurate shipment processing, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the shipping department to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage a team of shipping associates, providing guidance and support to improve performance and efficiency.
• Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to deadlines and customer expectations.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with management to optimize stock management practices.
• Participate in cross-departmental meetings to discuss shipping trends and strategies.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with both internal and external customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Pay

$20.00 per hour.

Schedule

1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
