Job Responsibilities
- Oversee plant conveyance, material flow, and layout optimization.
- Manage supplier packaging and freight efficiency.
- Enhance manufacturing processes to boost operational productivity and ensure timely delivery.
- Analyze production workflows, implement lean manufacturing principles, and collaborate across departments.
- Plan, design, and manage warehouse layouts to ensure efficient storage of all parts.
- Support part planning, material handling process design, value stream mapping, and conduct studies for continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field or equivalent.
- 2-5 years or proven prior experience in high-volume assembly and sequencing.
- Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or supply chain logistics, preferably within automotive and seating industries.
- A high level of analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficiency with computer software applications in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts such as Kanban, One-Piece-Flow, Kaizen, Theory of Constraints, 5S, etc.
- Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automatic material handling equipment (AGV).
- Experience with SAP ERP system.
- Experience in an automotive TS/IATF environment.
- Experience with CAD, process simulation, data analysis tools, material handling system design, and warehouse planning.
- Proven project and time management ability.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
