About the Role
Supporting Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK, the Industrial Engineer provides technical oversight for workforce efficiency, maintenance optimization, and the entire Asset Management Process for the Civil Engineering (CE) Services contract. This role includes supervising three Operations Engineering Technicians (Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil) and leading data analytics processes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and informational support for engineering programs focused on facility, infrastructure, and equipment life cycle sustainment optimization.
- Lead facility and infrastructure inventories and assessments, harvesting equipment-related information through facility evaluations.
- Develop expertise in Sustainment Management Systems (SMS) such as Builder, Paver, TRIRIGA (NexGen), and Roofer to track equipment conditions.
- Ensure SMS database program information aligns with the Maintenance Master Plan (MMP) and is properly captured with equipment assessment data.
- Provide equipment and life cycle costing data for programming outyear maintenance and repair requirements.
- Apply Predictive, Preventive, and Reliability Centered Maintenance principles to inform sustainment and repair actions.
- Leverage data analysis tools (e.g., SMS Builder) to develop sub-activity requirements and solutions.
- Analyze maintenance responses based on mission risk, sustainability, and system performance to guide future actions.
- Integrate preventive maintenance resource investments into life cycle return on investment and risk evaluations.
- Document, report, and provide annual optimization plans for systems such as chilled water, heating water, steam, and compressed air.
- Create reports for company and government decision-makers, applying industry standards, safety codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support for planning and designing projects impacting existing facilities and infrastructure.
- Perform maintainability, compatibility, and operability reviews of renovation and alteration designs at 35%, 65%, and 95% completion stages.
- Participate in pre-final and final inspections for construction projects nearing completion.
- Identify operation and maintenance concerns for new equipment prior to project finalization.
- Attend Operations & Maintenance training for completed constructions.
- Identify technical challenges and define solution requirements.
- Perform time and motion studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or mechanical engineering with 5 years’ experience supporting the design, analysis, and optimization of facility and infrastructure equipment operation.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field, with at least 2 years in facility and equipment condition assessment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for diverse organizational levels.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Current state driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses, IDs, and certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on a military installation within an Industrial Engineering organization.
- Experience working within a Public Works or Civil Engineering organization.
