Starting hourly pay rate: $31.30 - $41.75 per hour. Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
Schedule
- 7 am – 3 pm (primary schedule)
- Rotating to 12-hour shifts every 4 weeks after training (primarily 7 am – 7 pm)
- Occasional night shift (7 pm – 7 am), rare
Responsibilities
- Work safely as a top priority by adhering to the plant’s accident prevention policies
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Safely install, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical components within the manufacturing plant
- Maintain, test, and repair AC/DC motors and motor control systems
- Develop skills to troubleshoot advanced control system and instrumentation equipment, including PLC controls
- Interpret and use wiring schematics
- Operate electrical test equipment inherent to the job
- Know and understand NEC codes, become trained in NFPA-70E, and practice all other electrician duties in a manufacturing environment
Requirements
- Technical skills to safely and proficiently work as an electrician in a plant setting
- Basic mechanical maintenance skills
- Ability to interpret and perform tasks as detailed on printed work orders
- Basic computer skills for completing safety training and reviewing work-related email
- Ability to operate equipment as needed, including forklifts
- Familiarity with common hand tools and their proper use
- Good collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team
