Position Responsibilities
- Install Dedicated and Branch circuits for electrical equipment such as control circuits, wires, cables, breakers to ensure proper electrical functions.
- Install timer switches, contactors for lighting system upgrades such as control circuits and fixtures to ensure proper electrical functions.
- Repair electric lights, transformers, switchboards, and other electrical apparatus for proper function.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic components of manufacturing process equipment.
- Test electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, systems, or fixtures.
- Perform ground checks.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fire protection system electrical components.
- Follow all aspects of maintenance safety protocol (LOTOTO, Arc Flash, etc.).
- Work closely with EHS to ensure that all work is done to ensure world class health and safety, and full compliance with relevant environmental regulations.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Completion of an approved Certified Industrial Electrician Program or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Industrial Electrical-Instrumentation repair and maintenance.
- Strong electrical control troubleshooting experience, including the ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
- Knowledge of uninterruptable power sources, natural gas generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, and automatic/static transfer switches.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, IBC, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
Desired Qualities
- 5+ years Electrical/Instrumentation within a manufacturing environment in metals, semiconductors, or chemicals industries.
- Experience with medium and high voltage equipment.
- Knowledge of arc flash hazards.
- Ability to identify and solve problems and effectively communicate and advocate for these solutions to others (from operators to management).
