About the role

Johns Manville is hiring Industrial Electricians at their Waterville, OH complex. They are seeking individuals with a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of experience as an Industrial Electrician Journeyman or equivalent. Applicants should have experience troubleshooting with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), AC/DC drives, and basic instrumentation. Basic computer skills and the ability to read technical prints, charts, and diagrams are required. Preferred qualifications include working knowledge of SAP or CMMS.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, assemble, install, and repair all electrical AC and DC circuits, instrumentation, switchgear, motors, and other electrical equipment throughout the plant.
  • Aid Plant Mechanics and Operations personnel in resolving day-to-day equipment problems.
  • Comfortable handling daily responsibilities independently while regularly collaborating with team members.
  • Adhere to all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Industrial Electrician Journeyman Card or equivalent experience
  • Troubleshooting experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), AC/DC drives and basic instrumentation (temperature, level, pressure)
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical equipment (digital multimeter, megger, etc.)
  • Basic Computer skills and the ability to understand technical prints, charts, and diagrams
  • Working Knowledge of SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred
  • Ability to stand, walk, and use tools continuously as well as frequently reach, climb stairs and lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to tolerate working from heights and elevated temperatures
  • Good hearing, vision (color), speaking, and finger dexterity skills

Qualifications

  • Required to pass a drug screening, physical, and background check
  • Must successfully pass an aptitude test and hands-on skills assessment
  • Must be willing to work any shift (12a-8am; 8am-4pm; 4pm-12am; Swing Shift) OR 12-hour rotating shift
