Industrial Electrician

Troubleshooting and Responsibilities

Report to the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the safe, reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment across the manufacturing plant.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems to minimize downtime and support continuous plant operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, control systems, instrumentation, and plant electrical infrastructure.
• Install, test, and maintain wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with codes, standards, and specifications.
• Partner with operations and maintenance teams to identify and implement improvements that enhance equipment reliability.
• Support a strong safety culture by following all electrical safety practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training in electrical systems preferred.
• 1–3 years of industrial or commercial electrical experience (or relevant apprenticeship experience).
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment, including varying shifts if needed.

Bonus Points

• Experience with PLCs or automated control systems.
• Knowledge of industrial instrumentation or process controls.
• Electrical license or progress toward certification.
