JOB DUTIES
- Able to bend conduit
- Pull and terminate wires
- Capable of fabricating start/stop stations and other related jobs
- Capable of dealing with 480-volt, 3 phase. Install and maintain lighting systems
- Must know elements of NEC
- Able to read schematics & diagrams satisfactorily
- Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot mechanical as well as electrical problems
- Be willing to work as directed on production equipment
- Expected to possess good judgment and exercise initiative
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
- Electrical Degree or equivalent and 3 years' experience OR 5 years on the job experience in an electrician position from the food, foundry, or paper industry
- Must display strong communication skills
- Should be a good problem solver and strong team player
- Able to stand, walk and climb stairs, up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to tolerate varied temperatures
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Must meet Maintenance Physical Abilities Evaluation requirements
- Must successfully complete all required training including lockout tag out
- Must have the ability to function in high stress situations
- Company will provide required tools & equipment necessary for function in this position
- Employee will be required to wear safety shoes and will be provided prescription safety glasses if needed
- Employee will wear safety equipment as it relates to the requirement for the task
- Potential hazards include high noise levels, slippery floors and temperatures which can vary from cold to warm
- Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required
