Industrial Electrician Apprentice
Job Description
New Equipment Installation
The Electrical Apprentice will install new equipment for projects within a timely manner.
Troubleshooting and Repair
The Apprentice will troubleshoot and repair existing equipment as needed.
Preventive Maintenance
Responsible for performing preventive maintenance on existing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Response to Projects and Repairs
Timely response to projects and repairs to minimize downtime for equipment and production lines.
THE ENVIRONMENT
Safety is our highest priority. Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines. Must be able to work in a manufacturing industrial environment and wear personal protective equipment such as safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
Qualifications
- Enrollment in a formal technical training program (vocational/college level) and/or willing to enroll in the local technical college that our plant is affiliated with for the apprenticeship
- Must be able to work in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of electrical and electronic controls, programmable logic controllers, AC and DC drives, motor controls and instruments is a plus, but training will be provided
- Able to read and work from schematics and drawings
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Visual Basic
