Troubleshooting and Repair
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on manufacturing equipment including motors, relays, switches, and sensors
- Perform and document preventive maintenance on electrical systems per established schedules
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair variable frequency drives (VFDs) and motion control systems
- Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair PLC and HMI control equipment to support troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Build familiarity with control systems over time with engineering support
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls
- Reach with hands and arms
- Climb, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must have close, distance, color, & peripheral vision abilities along with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
