About the role

As an Industrial Designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Product, Brand, and business leaders—to bring creative ideas to life through thoughtful product design. You will play a critical role in concepting and developing new products, contributing to all aspects of industrial design from initial concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and improve existing items.
• Manage all aspects of the product development process on assigned projects, from initial concept to generating new product innovations.
• Conceptualize new product ideas through ideation sketching, mockups, 3D CAD, and presentations.
• Perform competitive assessments, product research, and analyze customer reviews.
• Participate in user testing to gather consumer insights and ensure designs meet customer needs and safety requirements.
• Make recommendations for product function and feature specifications.
• Work closely with Engineering, Marketing, Costing, and Compliance departments to establish key product features.
• Analyze and help define color, materials, and finishes.
• Collaborate with the Branding team to drive brand consistency across all products.
• Assess product obstacles and use design skills to overcome challenges and complete projects successfully.
• Coordinate with PMO to meet project deadlines and shipping schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Industrial Design or Product Design from a four-year university or equivalent (preferred).
• 1-3 years of experience in industrial or product design.
• Knowledge of hard goods, soft goods, and electronics.
• Experience with all phases of the design process, including trend research, innovation, and product development.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and molding techniques, such as injection molding, blow molding, rotocast, compression, and liquid injection molding.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, KeyShot, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to communicate design ideas thoughtfully, receive feedback gracefully, and collaborate effectively.
• Strong team player who can also work independently.

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000
