About the Role
Ledge is seeking an Industrial Designer who combines creative exploration, strong visual communication, and practical manufacturing awareness. This role helps shape products from early concept through design-intent lock and into production, creating experiences that are innovative, beautiful, and unmistakably Ledge. The Industrial Designer collaborates closely with the Industrial Design core team, Engineering, and other product-development partners to create the best products in and around the pool.
Responsibilities
- Explore early product ideas through the method best suited to the challenge, including sketching, 3D CAD, and physical prototyping, to establish a compelling experience goal.
- Refine the user experience through disciplined iteration, moving concepts from experience goal to design-intent lock with clarity and purpose.
- Develop design-intent CAD and provide a complete, accurate handoff to Engineering.
- Partner with Engineering throughout design for manufacture, protecting the product's core ethos, user experience, and critical design details while responding constructively to technical constraints.
- Deliver design work, decisions, and handoffs according to agreed project timelines and quality expectations.
- Present concepts and recommendations clearly to the core team and cross-functional partners, incorporating feedback without losing sight of the design objective.
- Use sketches, CAD models, prototypes, and other visual tools to communicate concepts, decisions, and design details throughout the development process.
- Continuously strengthen knowledge of materials, manufacturing capabilities, and product-development practices, then apply that learning to future work.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of portfolio strength and relevant experience.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong concept development, form exploration, user-centered thinking, and products advanced toward manufacture.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, design visualization, and sketch-based communication.
- Ability to create and evaluate prototypes at the appropriate level of fidelity for the project phase.
- Working knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, with an eagerness to deepen technical understanding.
- Strong presentation, collaboration, and feedback-integration skills.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through in a deadline-driven product environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Katy, Texas and collaborate closely with Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing partners.
