Industrial Designer
Key Tech is looking for an early-career Industrial Designer to join our multidisciplinary product development team in Baltimore, Maryland.
About the role
We develop advanced technology products for medical, life science, and industrial clients, turning complex technical challenges into intuitive, meaningful user experiences. In this role, you’ll help transform research insights and technical requirements into compelling product concepts through sketching, visualization, CAD modeling, prototyping, and collaboration with designers, engineers, usability specialists, and clients. The work spans user research, concept development, product architecture, usability support, visual storytelling, and design refinement across a wide range of real-world products.
Responsibilities
- Transform research insights and technical requirements into product concepts through sketching, visualization, and CAD modeling
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, usability specialists, and clients
- Engage in user research, concept development, and product architecture
- Support usability, visual storytelling, and design refinement
- Shape products balancing usability, ergonomics, aesthetics, engineering constraints, manufacturability, and regulated development demands
- Work on medical technologies including surgical systems, energy-based therapies, diagnostics, drug delivery, wearables, fluid management, and capital equipment
