About the role
At PCC Structurals – Carson City, our Industrial Custodians play an important role in supporting our manufacturing teams. By maintaining clean, organized, and safe production areas, they help create an environment where employees can safely and efficiently manufacture world-class aerospace components. This is not traditional janitorial work; you won't be cleaning offices or restrooms. Instead, you'll work throughout our manufacturing facility supporting production by maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized manufacturing floors and production areas.
- Clean machinery, walls, platforms, and other hard-to-reach areas throughout the facility.
- Support our plant-wide 6S initiatives by helping maintain a safe, efficient, and organized workplace.
- Work alongside our production teams to help keep manufacturing operations running smoothly.
- Take pride in maintaining a manufacturing environment that supports safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning, manufacturing, warehouse, production, or custodial work preferred.
- Experience operating powered floor scrubbers, sweepers, or similar industrial cleaning equipment preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, dependability, and accountability.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and reach overhead throughout the work shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds independently; heavier items require assistance or lifting devices.
- Ability to push and maneuver industrial floor cleaning equipment for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, heat, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed footwear.
Schedule
- Swing Shift (Flexible Start Time)
- 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, or
- 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
