Industrial Controls Technician (Electrical/PLC)

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, including troubleshooting malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, calibrating equipment, and ensuring proper operation of automated machinery.
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement system upgrades or modifications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they cause disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot plant equipment problems and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Controls Industrial Maintenance Technician.
  • Experience working on PLC programming and troubleshooting, specifically with Allen Bradley and HMIs.
  • Experience working in a multi-craft industrial manufacturing or similar environment with control technician, electrician, and/or mechanic roles.
  • Knowledge of welding, fabrication, troubleshooting, pipe fitting, and installation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to use CMMS to perform Preventive Maintenance (PMs) and report on plant issues.
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
  • PLC trainings and/or certifications.
  • Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Must be able to work night shifts.

Skills

  • PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley and HMIs.
  • Experience with mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with electrical systems and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with automation and control systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and PMs.

  • Experience with journeyman electrician licenses or certifications.
  • Experience with Associate’s degrees in electrical engineering or related fields.

Pay

Competitive compensation package.

Schedule

Night shift 2/2/3 hours: 6pm-6am
