Industrial Controlling Manager
Position Overview
The Manager, Industrial Controlling is responsible for managing day-to-day financial controlling activities for industrial operations, with a strong focus on cost transparency, accurate reporting, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for assigned industrial or plant operations.
Oversee plant-level cost controlling, including cost centers, overhead absorption, inventory valuation, scrap, and productivity KPIs.
Support monthly close activities, ensure reconciliations, and prepare accurate financial reporting packages.
Ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS and internal controls within assigned scope.
Partner with plant managers and functional leaders to support cost management and operational performance.
Analyze manufacturing variances and operational drivers; escalate risks and improvement opportunities.
Support capital expenditure tracking and post-investment performance reviews.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and standardization.
Support lean, cost optimization, or system improvement initiatives as assigned.
Maintain strong documentation and compliance with standard operating procedures.
May mentor junior analysts or indirect reports.
Collaborate cross-functionally but operates primarily within defined processes and governance.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in Controlling, FP&A, or Industrial Finance.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong cost accounting and variance analysis skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and reporting tools.
- Detail-oriented, execution-focused, and reliable.
- Effective communicator with plant-level stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 Annually.
