Industrial CDL Route Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Delivers and exchanges full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones.
• Delivers freight to customers on a weekly route stop.
• Loads and unloads freight and accurately fills out truck manifest.
• Loads and unloads cylinders.
• Accurately fills out gas invoices.
• Delivers freight and gas cylinders to customers.
• Takes basic orders from customers when needed.
• Greet customers in a professional and enthusiastic way.
• Answer telephone calls promptly.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products, placement, availability, price and use.
• Sell welding and safety products and services to customers.
• Process customer orders and accurately input customer order into the computer.
• Research products needed for customer special applications.
• Follow up on customer orders not processed correctly and remedy situation.
• Stock shelves when needed.
• Generate sales quotes to customers.
• Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum Class A CDL license with Hazmat Endorsement.
• Able to pass a DOE Government Background check.
• 1 Year Verifiable City Delivery Experience.
• PREFERRED: No at fault accidents or DOT moving violations resulting in suspension in the past 3 years.
• Able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to occasionally lift and/or carry objects weighing over 100 lbs.
• Knowledge of hauling hazardous material.
• Able to accurately enter data into computer.
• Excellent customer service skills.
