About the role

S&ME is seeking a motivated and results-driven Practice Leader to expand into and lead growth in the Industrial & Data Centers market across the organization. As the Industrial & Data Centers Practice Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping S&ME's presence in a high-demand, rapidly evolving market by driving new revenue, building client partnerships, and developing high-performing teams. The Industrial & Data Center market segment is part of S&ME's Business Growth Team, utilizing a life-cycle approach to provide core services including environmental, civil, and geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspections to support industrial and private clients.

Responsibilities

Drive Growth and Market Expansion
- Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the Industrial/Data Centers market that aligns with company initiatives and goals.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the market for key services: environmental, civil, and geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspections.
Build Relationships that Matter
- Establish and grow key client relationships at local, regional, and national levels within the market.
- Collaborate with local operations and expand existing client relationships.
- Leverage your network and industry presence to position S&ME as a trusted partner for each service line.
- Deliver exceptional client experiences that lead to repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Lead, Build, and Inspire Teams
- Partner with internal leaders to build the team, capabilities, and resources needed to scale.
- Mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth.
Deliver Excellence
- Ensure projects are executed with a focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Stay ahead of market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement to keep S&ME at the forefront.

Requirements

Proven success driving revenue growth of core services (geotechnical, environmental, civil, and construction materials testing/special inspections) within Industrial, Data Centers, or similar markets.
Strong network and client relationships within the industrial and/or data center industry.
10+ years of progressive experience in project/program or market leadership roles.
Proven track record of winning and delivering opportunities for multiple clients within the Industrial and Data Center market.
Relevant professional licensure (PE/PG or equivalent) is a plus.
Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
