Indirect Tax Accountant

About the role

This position is responsible for the exemption certificate project. This includes pulling and scanning the exemption certificates. This position will be responsible for validating the certificates are correct and up to date. In addition, this position will be required to reach out to customers to get missing or invalid certificates.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to a tenured Accountant and/or a Team Leader
• Pulling and scanning exemption certificates
• Validating certificates are correct and up to date
• Reaching out to customers to obtain missing or invalid certificates

Requirements

• BS/BA in Accounting or other Finance related degree from an accredited university
• Minimum 1 year experience in Sales Tax
• Strong analytical / problem solving skills
• Efficient communication and interpersonal skills
• Superior customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience in working in a regional or global shared service environment

Qualifications

• Direct experience in SAP 6.0 (preferred)
• Direct experience in Vertex O-Series (preferred)
• Direct experience in Onesource/Sabrix (preferred)
