Job Summary
About the role
The Indirect Sourcing Lead will be responsible for end-to-end vendor management including vendor initiation, negotiations, and contract management.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete vendor management lifecycle from initiation to contract completion.
- Manage numerous projects such as identifying low-cost alternatives, analyzing conversion opportunities, and facilitating implementation to completion.
- Identifies process improvement and cost-saving opportunities and recommends appropriate action steps to realize savings.
- Develop and implement cost-based reduction strategies capable of delivering annual target savings.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate and maintain favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new product developments, and emerging technologies relevant to the category.
- Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams, including sales representatives and marketing managers, to ensure the successful execution of category strategies.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in indirect procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in contract management and vendor management.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience with SAP and Concur and other ERP systems.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Supply Chain certifications are a plus.
- Experience beyond just a buying role.
