Indirect Procurement Intern

About the role

Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is offering a paid Procurement Internship based in Chicago, IL. This internship requires full-time availability, with a schedule of 20-40 hours per week. As a Procurement Intern, you will support our Indirect Procurement teams in Buffalo, NY, including Category Management, Procurement Project Management, and Strategic Sourcing, while also assisting with administrative tasks for the direct Procurement manager.

Responsibilities

• Support the Indirect North American sourcing team.
• Assist with market analysis and sourcing initiatives.
• Contribute to business projects involving research, cost analyses, and engagement of internal/external stakeholders.
• Assist in negotiating supplier pricing.
• Support the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, including supplier pre-selection, bid evaluation, and awarding suppliers.
• Maintain top-level supplier relationship management.
• Upload and maintain the Procurement SharePoint database.
• Update and manage supplier and category spend trackers.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Preferred: Procurement or related internship/co-op experience or relevant coursework.
