Key Responsibilities
- Strategy development and adoption
- Requirements definition

- Contractual review
- Effective relationship building with external suppliers and internal business partners
- Execute and support all purchasing policies and procedures
- Meet routinely with internal business partners to maintain best in class purchasing category strategies that drive performance with regard to cost, quality & delivery
- Maintain a deep and current knowledge of assigned purchasing categories
- In cooperation with internal business partners, develop and maintain supplier key performance indicators
- Lead a standardized sourcing, supplier approval and contracting process across assigned categories negotiating the most favorable terms and conditions based on total cost of ownership
- Serve as a company contact for all procurement related questions on policy, process, training and support
- Proactively and effectively address and resolve issues as they are presented
- Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus’ Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management, with a focus on indirect spend
- Experience developing and executing category strategies aligned to business objectives
- Experience managing IT-related spend categories, a plus
- Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships and leading contract negotiations
- Proven ability to support cross-functional stakeholders and influence decision-making without direct authority
- Strong analytical experience, including spend analysis, cost savings identification, and business case development
- Experience leading sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs, and negotiations)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience working with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa), preferred
