About the Role

Under the direction of the Indian Education Resource Coordinator, the Indian Education Liaison assists all referred Native American students in Amador and El Dorado Counties by ensuring student access to available school, district, or county-wide academic services for which they qualify. The role involves assisting and empowering parents or guardians of referred Native American students to participate within the academic system and be knowledgeable of their rights and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assure Native American students’ access to all available academic services for which they qualify.
  • Assist and empower parents or guardians of referred Native American students to participate in the academic system.
  • Educate parents and guardians on their rights and responsibilities within the academic system.

Requirements

  • Prior job or education-related experience.
  • Knowledge of proper English usage, education code, state, county, and district policies.
  • Knowledge of Native American culture and cultural values.

Pay

Pay Range: $25.66 - $33.40 per hour. Initial placement is on the first step of the range.

Schedule

  • 20 hours per week.
  • 11 months per year (238 days per year).

Selection Process

  • A multiple-choice test link will be sent after the application deadline and is due by 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
  • Interviews will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
