Independent Social Work Assessor

Requirements

• Good assessment and report writing skills
• Competent IT skills
• To be prepared to work face-to-face and occasionally virtually with prospective adopters
• Full driving licence and prepared to travel
• 2-years post-qualifying Social Work experience
• Registration with SW England

Responsibilities

• Initial visits to prospective adopters
• Completing full adoption assessments
• Writing AARs (Adoption Assessment Reports)
• Reporting to Panel
• Occasional additional work to support our families, such as attending reviews or matching panels
