Independent Police Auditor
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). They want us to use those headings when appropriate. We have content about duties (responsibilities). We have qualifications (education, experience, licensing, special requirements). We have benefits and salary. So we could map:
- About the role: maybe a brief overview? The posting includes "About The Department" with city description and IPA description. That could be "About the role" or maybe "About the department". But instruction says use headings like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We should include sections only when posting has real specific content. We have content for About the role (description of department and IPA). We have Responsibilities (Position Duties). We have Requirements (maybe Minimum Qualifications). We have Qualifications (maybe same as Requirements? But we can combine). Actually they differentiate Requirements and Qualifications; but we can put education/experience/licensing under Requirements or Qualifications. We'll decide: Use Requirements for minimum qualifications (education, experience, licensing, special requirements). Use Qualifications for other qualifications? There's no other qualifications content. So we may skip Qualifications.
We have Benefits and Pay (salary). So we can have Benefits section and Pay section.
We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID.
We must remove boilerplate: EEO, accommodation contact, application instructions, etc. Also remove navigation, cookie, legal, duplicated lines. So we strip all that.
We need to preserve all substantive information: city description, IPA mission, duties, qualifications, salary range, benefits description.
We need to format with headings, - for lists,
for prose.
Let's extract substantive content:
From "Our diverse and inclusive workforce..." that's boilerplate? It's generic city description but maybe part of About the role? It's about city workforce. Might be considered boilerplate but it's descriptive of city. However it's generic fluff; but it's part of the posting. The instruction: remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. The city description may not be boilerplate; it's about the city. Might be considered part of About the role. We'll keep it.
But we also have "Visit here to learn more about our One Team Leadership Values and Expectations..." that's a link; maybe we can keep as prose? It's a link; but it's not essential? Might be considered boilerplate? It's a promotional link. Could be considered not essential but it's substantive? I'd keep it as part of About the role.
But we also have "The City of San José is an equal opportunity employer..." that's EEO boilerplate; remove.
Accommodation contact: remove.
"The City of San José Known as the “Capital of Silicon Valley,”..." that's substantive about city; keep.
"The Office of the Independent Police Auditor (IPA) was established..." that's substantive; keep.
Mission five-fold: keep.
"The San José IPA is supported by a small team..." keep.
"The Office received a proposed budget allocation..." keep.
"Position Duties" section: keep.
List of responsibilities: we need to make a list.
"The IPA will possess unquestionable integrity..." that's more qualifications? Could be part of Requirements? It's about personal attributes; could be under Requirements or Qualifications. We'll treat as part of Requirements (maybe as bullet points).
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Licensing, Special Requirements.
We need to format those as lists.
Salary & Benefits: salary range, includes approx five percent ongoing non-pensionable compensation. Benefits: defined benefit retirement plan with full reciprocity with CalPERS; defined contribution plan option. Also mention to review brochure and website.
We should not include application instructions, links, etc. So remove the link to apply, brochure link, contact email, etc. Also remove "Additional Information: Employment Eligibility..." etc. Remove AI and hiring process section.
Now craft HTML.

We need to ensure no markdown fences, just raw HTML.
Check for any leftover boilerplate: we removed EEO, accommodation, application instructions, AI section, eligibility, etc. Also removed links? We kept "Visit here to learn more..." but that includes a link? Actually the text says "Visit here to learn more..." but no actual URL; it's just phrase. We kept as is. That's fine.
We also kept "here to learn more about San José." again no URL.
We kept "Visit here to learn more about our One Team Leadership Values and Expectations, including quality and excellent customer service and here to learn more about San José." That's okay.
We kept "THE OFFICE OF THE INDEPENDENT POLICE AUDITOR" as prose; it's uppercase but okay.
We kept "THE CITY OF SAN JOSÉ" as prose.
We kept "THE OFFICE received a proposed budget allocation..." etc.
We kept "Position Duties" as heading? Actually we used Responsibilities heading and listed duties. Good.
We kept "Minimum Qualifications" as Requirements heading with subpoints.
