Independent Optometrist - Walmart

Position Summary

Launch your services in Walmart stores! As an Independent Optometrist leasing space inside our Walmart stores, you will take a leading role in patient care with respect to eye and vision care as well as general health and wellbeing.

What you'll do...

• Take a leading role in patient care with respect to eye and vision care as well as general health and wellbeing.
• Take ownership of your practice, including establishing your days of practice, hours of operation, patient schedule, and fee schedule.
• Opt into advanced equipment/instrumentation, administrative and/or Opt-Tech support services if state allows.
• Work collaboratively with Walmart to ensure a smooth and successful launch of your services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
• Valid state optometry license.
• Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) from an accredited school.
• Valid state ophthalmology license.
• Advanced Equipment/instrumentation and/or Opt-Tech support services if state allows.
• Minimum liability insurance certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in independent optometry practice.
• Knowledge of Walmart's EDLP and EDLC business models.
• Experience with local giving initiatives.
