About the Role

As an Optometrist, you will lead within the organization, delivering the brand promise and driving key results through people. This role ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care while integrating the brand story and ensuring flawless execution of the patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Convey a commitment to providing unsurpassed patient service by ensuring staff performs key service process steps, including:
    • Addressing all patients’ visual lifestyle needs
    • Building long-term patient relationships
    • Explaining each step of the eye exam
    • Listening carefully to patient questions or concerns
    • Providing a summary of the patient’s overall eye health
  • Conduct all services in accordance with protocol and accepted standards of care.
  • Ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommendations on the initial visit.
  • Establish a positive doctor/patient relationship.
  • Communicate effectively with office and store associates to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members in areas such as:
    • Orientation
    • Front desk/office procedures
    • Pre-testing
    • Phone skills
    • Contact lens training
    • Exam quality by other doctors
  • Deliver clear, motivating, and constructive feedback to associates in a timely manner.
  • Create a positive culture aligned with corporate values and motivate individuals appropriately.
  • Encourage associate decision-making at the level closest to the patient.
  • Strive to achieve "Far Exceeds Expectations" on targets in:
    • Overall patient satisfaction
    • Sales to plan
    • Exam growth
    • Other key performance indicators
  • Maximize "One Voice" partnership through leadership in:
    • Right the First Time initiatives
    • Walk-in availability
  • Maintain pride in the appearance of the office and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating safe work practices.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry degree
  • Proven track record of delivering organizational results through people
  • Knowledge of current optometric theory and technology
  • Comprehensive understanding of operations, processes, and business implications
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Strong organizational skills

Pay

Pay range: $500/day - $575/day. Employee pay is determined by factors such as geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. You may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
