Job Summary

The F/ACT Independent Living Specialists work with SMI clients in their homes or in the field to develop independent living skills. These skills include food shopping, learning bus routes, cleaning home, proper hygiene, maintaining relationships with supportive family, and developing community-based supports. This position requires being in the field at least 80% of the time, assisting clients in sustaining ongoing recovery, and providing after-hour and on-call supports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop independent living skills in clients
  • Assist clients in sustaining ongoing recovery
  • Provide after-hour and on-call supports
  • Work with clients in their homes or in the field

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree or higher preferred
  • 1-year experience working with the SMI population in multiple settings and levels of care, including mental health and substance abuse preferred
  • 1-year experience in a behavioral health position providing outreach and engagement activities preferred
  • Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred
  • Current AZ Driver’s License in good standing
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card required
  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) certification in accordance with A.A.C. R9-10-101.33 and CBI Clinical Policies and Procedures
  • Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) certification within 12-months of employment
  • Peer Certification (if applicable)

Qualifications
