Independent Living Skills Overnights (Awake)

About the role

The ILS Overnight Coach works as part of an Intensive Residential Treatment Services team that provides care, treatment, and rehabilitation for individuals experiencing significant mental health/psychiatric symptoms, demonstrating significant functional impairments, and having co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to person(s) served in order to promote their physical, social, and psychological well-being.
• Interact frequently and positively with person(s) served and support staff to promote the rights of the person(s) served to achieve an enhanced quality of life.
• Absorb and follow agency procedures to promote optimum health care, safety practices, and behavioral supports to maintain the well-being of person(s) served.
• Administer administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, organizing, overseeing meal preparation in the morning, cleaning tasks, transportation for people served, providing group and individual services, teaching clients independent living skills, developing and maintaining cooperative working relationships, providing necessary financial management, ensuring compliance with training licensing regulations and company policies and procedures, medication administration and monitoring, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to the practice of maintaining a therapeutic environment, preventing crisis at the lowest level of escalation, developing and participating in community and in-house recreational and leisure activities, completing all documentation as required to ensure quality services.
• Supervise overnight duties from cleaning checklist.
• Ensure compliance with training licensing regulations and company policies and procedures.
• Develop and participate in community and in-house recreational and leisure activities, as conducive to schedule.
• Complete all documentation as required to ensure quality services.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• GED or High School Diploma with 2,000 supervised hours in the delivery of services to adults with serious mental illness.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
