Independent Living Skills Coach (Overnight) (Awake)

About the Role

SpringPath Mental Health Services, part of the Sevita family, provides behavioral health services through Intensive Residential Treatment, Assertive Community Treatment, and Targeted Case Management programs. We embrace a person-centered approach that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and recovery-oriented. The ILS Overnight Coach works as part of an Intensive Residential Treatment Services team, providing care, treatment, and rehabilitation for individuals experiencing significant mental health or psychiatric symptoms, functional impairments, and potential co-occurring disorders. This is an awake overnight position.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to individuals served to promote their physical, social, and psychological well-being.
• Interact frequently and positively with individuals served and support staff to uphold their rights and enhance their quality of life.
• Assist Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners with requested needs.
• Follow agency procedures to ensure optimum healthcare, safety practices, and behavioral supports for individuals served.
• Perform administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, and organizing.
• Oversee meal preparation in the morning.
• Complete cleaning tasks, including preparing rooms for new admissions.
• Provide transportation for individuals served.
• Deliver group and individual services for clients.
• Teach clients independent living skills.
• Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with various teams.
• Manage the necessary financial operations for the day-to-day program using established practices and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with training, licensing regulations, and company policies and procedures.
• Administer and monitor medication.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including overnight duties from a cleaning checklist.
• Adhere to practices that maintain a therapeutic environment and prevent crises at the lowest level of escalation.
• Develop and participate in community and in-house recreational and leisure activities, as schedule permits.
• Complete all required documentation to ensure quality services.

Requirements

• GED or High School Diploma with 2,000 supervised hours in the delivery of services to adults with serious mental illness.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
• Travel as needed.

Physical Requirements

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Pay

Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour.
