About the role

Our Employer Engagement team plays a vital role in connecting students with meaningful opportunities that prepare them for the world beyond college. We’re looking for an organised, enthusiastic, and student-focused individual to help us make these experiences happen. As an Employer Engagement Assistant, you will support the coordination and administration of student work placements across the College, liaising with local employers, maintaining records, and supporting compliance.

Responsibilities

• Complete administrative processes for student placements, including tracking documentation and deadlines.
• Work closely with tutors, employers, and students to schedule and confirm placements.
• Maintain accurate records on placement databases and ensure all health & safety checks are completed.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and external partners.

Requirements

• Proven administrative experience, ideally within an educational or careers-related setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong IT skills, including familiarity with MS Office and student record systems.
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to multitask effectively.
• A genuine interest in supporting young people on their career journey.

Pay

Salary: Point 7 (£25,951 p.a.) on the SFCA Support Staff Pay Scale. For this part-time, term-time post, this equates to £16,689 p.a.

Schedule

Working hours will be 26 hours per week, term time only, plus 10 additional days to be worked during college holiday periods. There may need to be some flexibility at busy times of the year, such as the student enrolment period.
