Independent Contractor – Outdoor Structure Installer
About the role
Backyard Products has made America’s backyard a beloved “staycation destination” since 1975, and is the parent company of Lawn Master Outdoor Living (custom high‑end pergolas and pavilions, award‑winning Home Depot partner) and Big Timber Structures (American‑made timber carports, gazebos, pergolas, pavilions). As an Independent Contractor Installer you will install pre‑cut cedar pergolas, pavilions, decks, and other outdoor structures at residential and commercial job sites. Most simple projects can be completed in one day, and you earn a base fee of at least $500 per completed structure with additional earning opportunities. No need to find customers, quote jobs, order materials, or chase payments – you receive a steady pipeline of projects and are paid quickly after documentation is submitted.
Responsibilities
- Install pre‑cut cedar pergolas, pavilions, decks, and other outdoor structures
- Follow company designs, specifications, and installation practices
- Complete projects efficiently while maintaining high‑quality workmanship
- Professionally communicate with homeowners and business customers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Complete required project documentation
- Travel to various residential and commercial installation locations
Requirements
- Dependable contractor with strong carpentry and construction skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and complete projects efficiently
- Ability to follow plans, designs, and specifications
- Ability to provide one or more qualified helpers when needed
