IND Passenger Service Agent ( Alaska Airlines)

About the role

The Customer Service Agent will be responsible for assisting passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims, and addressing any other passenger issues in the airport. This individual must adhere to Menzies Aviation's uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Aid passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims, and other passenger issues.
• Interpret identification labels and baggage/cargo routing tags.
• Host self-service kiosks and ensure all work areas are organized.
• Provide a positive attitude and assist with any issues.
• Maintain safety and security standards.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Current valid US driver’s license.
• Computer skills for using computer-based systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to stand for long periods at the ticket counter and gate check-in areas.
• Pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal.
• Flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs of cargo and baggage.
• Comfortable standing for long periods.
• Pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs seal.
• Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Preferred prior customer service experience.
• Required intermediate computer skills.
