About the role
Pillars of Wellness is expanding its services by further integrating cultural sensitivity into therapeutic and wellness settings. We are seeking an Inclusive Care Specialist to provide individual and group sessions, facilitate workshops, complete client intakes, and develop programs that incorporate a culturally sensitive approach. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within diverse settings, including businesses, schools, healthcare organizations, and community groups, to help individuals celebrate their differences.
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments for bilingual clients.
- Provide individual and group sessions with a focus on culturally sensitive topics in various settings.
- Develop and facilitate culturally sensitive workshops and trainings.
- Ability to assist with immigration psychological evaluations.
- Incorporate multicultural approaches into therapeutic practices to support mental health and well-being.
- Collaborate with businesses, schools, and healthcare organizations to implement mindfulness programs.
- Utilize evidence-based multicultural interventions to support stress reduction, emotional regulation, and resilience.
- Conduct assessments and recommend culturally sensitive interventions tailored to diverse populations.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory guidelines.
- Adapt multicultural approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients and organizational partners.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of mindfulness programs.
Requirements
- Fully licensed or associate-level mental health professional (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, HSPP, or equivalent)
- Bilingual or multilingual strongly preferred.
- Competent in working with couples, children, and families of diverse backgrounds.
- Experience or a passion in leading culturally sensitive approaches when working with migrant or asylum seeking clients.
- Experience conducting immigration psychological evaluations.
- Strong ability to design and deliver engaging training sessions and workshops.
- Commitment to culturally competent, person-centered care.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with agency leadership and community partners.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
