Inclusion Coordinator

About the role

The Inclusion Coordinator at Mandell JCC of Greater Hartford supports the social integration and acculturation of individuals with special needs through various programs and activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging social, educational, and recreational programs for adults with special needs.
• Plan and facilitate activities such as music therapy, fitness, pottery, yoga, healthy snacks, bingo, and an annual Fashion Show.
• Foster relationships with participants, families, caregivers, and partner agencies.
• Represent the program within the community and ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment.
• Manage scheduling, registration, event coordination, and communication with families, group homes, and agencies.
• Comply with CT State Mandated Reporter requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external partners, and participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred; at least one year of experience in a related field.
• Experience: Minimum one year of experience in a related field.
• Licensure: CPR, First Aid preferred.
