Incineration Technician- Fluidized Bed

We Build with Passion — Clean Harbors Kimball, NE Incineration units are seeking a safety-oriented and reliable individual to join our team in an entry-level, full-time position.

Pay

$26.50 an hour, paid weekly.

Schedule

Shift work rotating 4-12 hour shifts (Days/Nights).

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Performs basic operations including, but not limited to, drum movement, drum opening, tank farm truck loading/unloading in compliance with DOT segregation requirements, filter press operations, and proper inventory warehousing.
• Operates a forklift when necessary; responsible for performing and documenting daily safety checks prior to operating.
• Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements.
• Able to use scanning application for dumping and pumping.
• Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
• Reviews all applicable SOPs and satisfactorily completes quizzes.
• Ensures, understands, and has ownership for area-specific permit-required compliance standards.
• Meets or exceeds production goals.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
• Understands Clean Compliance Standard.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Forklift operation experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• DOT Training.
• Proficiency in Windows-based applications.
• Ability to climb on and off forklifts.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs from the ground to waist level.
• Ability to climb up and down vertical ladders.
• Capable of reaching out, over, and down exerting force.
• 20/20 eyesight (corrected or uncorrected) — depth perception is critical.
• Ability to perform 10 pushups, deep knee squats, and sit-ups (fitness assessment).
• Good hand/eye coordination.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Punctuality and attendance required.
• Respirator fit test upon hire — clean-shaven face required (mustache okay).
• Background check, drug screen, and physical required.
• Updated resume required.
• Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
• Ability to work in adverse environments (extreme cold/heat, wind).
