Incident Response Senior Consultant
Job Description
- Incident Detection and Analysis: Monitor security alerts and logs to identify potential security incidents and assess their impact.
- Incident Triage and Prioritization: Evaluate the severity and urgency of incidents to prioritize response efforts effectively.
- Containment and Mitigation: Implement strategies to contain and mitigate the impact of security incidents, preventing further damage.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations to determine the root cause of incidents and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Communication and Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate response efforts and communicate incident status and updates.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of incidents, actions taken, and outcomes for future reference and compliance purposes.
- Post-Incident Review and Improvement: Lead post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and recommend improvements to incident response processes.
- Threat Intelligence Integration: Utilize threat intelligence to enhance detection capabilities and anticipate potential security threats.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the incident response skills of team members and raise security awareness across the organization.
- Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure that incident response activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
