About the role
The Inbound Operations Team Leader (OVERNIGHT) at Target, Richfield, MN, is responsible for managing the unloading and preparation of trailer deliveries, ensuring product availability, and maintaining a high level of guest service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
- Ensure every team member understands and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations.
- Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.
- Review area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align team on the right behaviors and execution.
- Execute daily/weekly workload to deliver department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
- Lead and share expertise in operations, freshness, accuracy and efficiency.
- Establish clear goals and expectations for the team and hold them accountable to these expectations.
- Assign daily tasks to Team Members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns, ensuring alignment with weekly and monthly business priorities set by your direct leader.
- Assess all GM backroom, sales floor areas and review reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve any issues identified.
- Enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is available for purchase.
- Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store, including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices.
- Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience for the store during assigned shifts based on store needs.
- Address all store and offsite emergency and compliance needs.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Age 18 or older
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
- Effective communication skills

- Leading a team of hourly team members, including skills in interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talent

Pay
The starting pay range for this position per hour is $23.75 - $25.75. The full pay range for this position per hour is $23.75 - $40.40. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.
Schedule
This role requires a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, closing shifts and other peak shopping times).
