About the role
RJW Logistics Group is seeking an experienced Inbound Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Inbound Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Inbound department, including scheduling, unloading, and warehouse maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assign work assignments for all 1st and 2nd shift inbound warehouse staffing, keeping in mind customer specifications.
- Oversee the unloading of freight according to customer specifications.
- Review deliveries for poor packing and general conditions of materials.
- Alert Customer Service Rep, Warehouse Director, and when necessary, COO of any problems, with clear, decisive information or pictures if necessary.
- Oversees and assigns the processing of shipment paperwork as required to include the scanning of BOL's.
- Ensure all shipments/POs are recorded and verified and the accuracy of the shipment against the paperwork for incoming shipments and deliveries.
- Maintain and approve of all shift employee timesheets for weekly payroll, including any temp hours, making corrections as needed.
- Monitor the quality and accuracy of all shipments according to customer specifications.
- Communicate with CSS teams and respond to inquiries as needed, implementing any actions required.
- Ensure the safety, training and development of employees, drivers, and contractors, in accordance with OSHA and RJW policies and procedures.
- Issue any corrective action or work order need to correct or fix any issues.
- Perform assigned tasks or other duties as instructed by Warehouse General Manager or Director.
Qualifications
- 10 or more years of Warehouse Management experience.
- Dispatch experience and Dock supervision experience.
- Familiarity with Smart Turn or TMW software a plus.
- Experience in Warehouse Management and LTL dispatch.
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations and Requirements.
Physical Demands
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to activate the phone system utilizing keyboards and buttons.
- Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
- Regularly works in an indoor/warehouse environment and required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift or kneel during the work day.
- Frequently required to talk, hear, and communicate to customers or other employees.
- Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
- Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
- Must hear speech out of both ears in the normal range of 30 db. at 500 to 2000 Hz range.
- Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
- Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
